Clean & Simple Card Using English Garden Designer Series Paper

Here is a card that I was inspired to make after seeing Meg’s card on YouTube.  It’s clean and simple and does not use a lot of products.  So if you are just starting out as a card maker or have limited supplies, this card is for you!

Here are the measurements:

Card Stock:
4 1/4 x 11, scored in half at 5 1/2.  I used Night of Navy and Mossy Meadow.  You will also need a strip cut 4 x 1 and also a piece of scrap for your circle framelit (#5)

English Garden Designer Series Paper cut 4 x 5 1/4 and another piece cut 3/4 x 4

Whisper White for the inside cut at 4 x 5 1/4.  Also a scrap for the circle framelit (#4)

Embellishments:
Tea Lace Doily
Mossy Meadow or Hello Honey Ribbon

Inks:  Mossy Meadow or Night of Navy
Stamp Set:  Butterfly Basics

Directions:

1.  Start by folding your card base in half.  Use a bone folder for a crisp fold.
2.  Add English Garden Designer Series paper to the card front
3.  Add Tea Lace Doily to the center of the card using adhesive
4.  Use the Big Shot to cut out the Whisper White and matching card stock (from the base) using 4 and 5 of the circle framelits (4 is around 2″)
5.  Stamp sentiment in the ink color that matches your card base to the Whisper White circle.
6.  Adhere the the stamped sentiment to the larger circle
7.  Add three dimensionals to the back side of the circle, add to the center of the doily.
8.  Tie a ribbon and add to the circle using a few glue dots.
9.  For the inside, I adhered the two remaining strips and added to the bottom of the 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White.  Add this to the inside of your card.
10.  Instead of stamping on your envelope, try using an embossing folder on the flap.  I used the Lovely Lace and Boho Chic embossing folders.

Which color scheme is your favorite?  I would love to hear.

There is nothing like putting a smile on a face, hearing "wow" from a new stamper, and making new friends; near and far.
