Thoughts & Prayers; A Versatile Stamp Set

Once in a while, we need to tell someone you are thinking of them during a difficult time in their life.  What better way to let them know you care, by making and sending a handmade card.

The Thoughts & Prayers stamp set is a rubber stamp set which comes in wood mount or clear mount and may be found on Page 26 of the 2015-16 Stampin’ Up! catalog.

The sentiments are well thought out and can be used for a sympathy card along with get well, thinking of you, or sharing in your sorrow.

I found a card design I liked from Laura B. and changed it up a little.  The colors are nice and the blue accents gives the card a subtle look.

Here is the information you will need to create this card.

Card stock:
Crumb Cake card base cut 5 1/2 x 11, scored at 4 1/4.
Very Vanilla for the inside cut 4 x 5 1/4, and for the outside layer 3 1/2 x 3
Chocolate Chip layers; one cut 5 1/4 x 2 and the other 3 3/4 x 3 1/4
Choose your designer series paper that you like and cut 5 x 1 3/4.  This layers on the larger Chocolate Chip strip.  The smaller Very Vanilla is layered on the larger Chocolate Chip base.

Select a ribbon of your choice to match your colors.  I used some ribbon that I had on hand from my Grandmother’s stash.

Inks:
Chocolate Chip

Embossing Folder:
Lovely Lace

I chose the tree and Sharing in your Sorrow for the outside of the card.

For the inside, I chose the flower branch and stamped twice in Chocolate Chip, rotating my stamp to get a nice design on top.  Added the sentiment.

For the cardbase, I used the Big Shot and Lovely Lace to add some dimension to the cardbase.  Used Tombo Liquid Glue to adhere the DSP to the Chocolate Chip.

Added stampin dimensionals to the focal point and lined up the two strips on the left.  Don’t forget to wrap your ribbon!

I finished the card off with a matching envelope.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Happy Stamping! ~Inspired By Gram

There is nothing like putting a smile on a face, hearing "wow" from a new stamper, and making new friends; near and far.
